This exquisite wooden home decor wall hanging was woodburned and handpainted by The Arabesque to depict a Mughal-style stucco niche decor from India's Mughal architecture of Delhi. We have used a midnight blue stain coupled with woodburning the old world design to combine the modern and the historical. The Mughal dynasty was founded in 1526 in northern India and ruled much of the subcontinent. For over the next two centuries they continued their rule as their kingdom's power began to decline. The British defeated and exiled the last Mughal ruler, Bahadurshah II in 1857 and they came to full power in 1858.
