Sorry, this item has sold.

The Ibn Tulun mosque was built in 878 CE by an Abbasid general of Turkish origin named Ibn Tulun. The mosque was built in the regional capital city of Egypt at the time, al-Qataʻī, which would one day become part of Cairo. The mosque was a monument which brought in several architectural elements and features from the Abbasid capital in the central Islamic lands located in Samarra. Accompanying it's beautiful courtyard, spiral minaret, and beautiful aisles, are stucco patterns lining all the archways and ceilings of the mosque.

This beautiful one-of-a-kind home decor wall hanging or shelf art piece is a woodburned architectural inspired depiction of two geometric patterned window grilles surrounded by an elaborate stucco design pattern from the mosque of Ibn Tulun. Gold leaf and copper leaf paint has been used to enhance the patterning. The rose gold finish is meant to represent the general tones of the walls of the soft pink walls of the Ibn Tulun mosque. This is a piece of artwork that we are very proud of and know will make a unique and exquisite eye-turning piece of art in your own space at home or in the office. We suggest you don't let this one go!!
